Dazzling Birds

Continuing on with the spring theme...  I have been noticing the birds singing in the trees lately.  So far, it has been a welcoming wake up call in the mornings.  My card today shares my love of all things sparkly (dazzling diamonds glitter) and a lovely singing bird. (PS I totally CASE'd this card from somewhere, I don't remember where.  So if you are reading this and its your creation... THANKS, I loved it!!)  Oh, and I just used a glue pen for adhering the glitter.  I don't have the patience to use heat and stick.  That's just me, though!

I have to go in to school this afternoon and substitute for the science/ag teacher, so I'm wishing you all a great day.  Enjoy...

Spring is in the air!

We sure have been getting a taste of spring here!  The weather has been sunny and in the high 50's to low 60's the past few days.  After a long, cold winter, there is nothing better than feeling the warm sun on your face.

To celebrate spring, I created this card. It is mostly made by the Big Shot. Aren't the butterflies just gorgeous flying up the side?  I absolutely LOVE all of the accessories that I've seen used with the Big Shot.  The cutting dies, the embossing folders and this little butterfly gem does both!  Simply amazing.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

The recipe includes:
lavendar lace cardstock
bashful blue cardstock
pretty in pink cardstock
barely banana cardstock
certainly celery cardstock
confetti white cardstock
pink beads (from pink duo)
jewelry wire (outdated Stampin' Up!)
Big Shot
Top Note die
Beautiful Wings embosslits die (available for limited time in Occassions Mini)
apricot appeal ink
chocolate chip ink
Butterfly Accent stamp (available for limited time in Occasions Mini)
Well Scripted stamp set (available for limited time in Occasions Mini)
adhesive, glue dots, wire cutters

Summer Fun

Today, my girl Vicky and I headed out to Richland Center.  Why, you ask?  Well, 'cause we heard there was a new scrapbooking/stamping store there.  ~LAA~  (that's my singing voice, by the way)  Needless to say, it wasn't new.  She's been there for 2 years!  And she's got all sorts of crafts there.  I found some papers to scrapbook our vacation to South Dakota and some stuff to scrapbook our family reunion.  What a great find!  She also said that she'd order anything we wanted out of her books!  She doesn't have tons of scrapping stuff, but it is nice that if we want/need something, all we have to do is pick it out of a book.  :)  So, yes, I do buy other scrapping stuff besides Stampin' Up!.  I LOVE my SU stuff because it coordinates so well, but sometimes, I get great ideas from other papers and embellishments.

Today, I wanted to share a scrapbook page that I made.  Every summer, we go for motorcycle & convertible rides to Rockton.  The bar there has the best chicken ever.  I get great pics there with the shade/lighting.  This is from one of those trips.  The paper is from last year's InColor selection - so it is unavailable now.  But it matched the colors in my photo, so I used it.  :)

Hope you enjoy and go scrap something!

Happy Birthday Cupcake

Happy Monday, friends!  I wanted to share another card from my stamp-a-stack last weekend.  This is a birthday card with a fun fold that I saw at Staci's website. It stays closed when the cupcake piece stays behind the balloon piece. Hopefully, the pictures show you how it works.

I absolutely love these colors together!  Often, I will think of a card theme that I want to create, then find some designer paper that fits with my thoughts.  From the designer paper, I can easily find just the right colors to coordinate and create a beautiful card.

Recipe includes:
Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set
Razzleberry Lemonade designer paper
pumpkin pie cardstock
rich razzleberry cardstock
whisper white cardstock
whisper white 1/4" grosgrain ribbon
black stazon
pumpkin pie ink
rich razzleberry ink
aqua pen
champagne mist shimmer paint
paint brush
scallop edge punch
scallop circle punch
adhesive, dimensionals

***Remember Sale-A-Bration is still going.  When you spend $50 on SU product, you'll get your choice of a FREEBIE from the SAB mini catalog.  Email or call me for details or to place your order.

Happy crafting,
Audra :)

Stamping for a Cause

Hi everyone!  I guess it has been a while since I posted.  Sorry about that.

Today, I was involved with an event to help raise funds for a local Susan G Komen Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk team.  It was such a fun day!  I met some new customers, along with a very cute & crafty 11-year-old girl.  She was so cute!!!  There were tables for people to scrap at their leisure (which made me want to scrap), I had 10 cards for people to make and my sister-in-law, Tonia, had some great Uppercase Living projects.  Tonia & her friend, Kim, did the 3-Day last year.  This year their team has grown to 8 or 10 members.  Isn't that wonderful?

So I thought I'd share 2 cards.  One I had for today's event and the other one I did at an event last month.  Unfortunately, it seems we all are affected by someone with cancer, so we could all use a card like this.

The recipe for this card includes:
chocolate chip cardstock
pretty in pink cardstock
whisper white cardstock
chocolate chip ink
pretty in pink ink
dazzling diamonds glitter  ~love~
chocolate chip corduroy button
Ribbon of Hope stamp
Great Friend stamp set
Petals-A-Plenty impressions folder for Big Shot
adhesive, dimensionals, glue pen, glue dots, sponge

Recipe for this one is:
pretty in pink cardstock
whisper white cardstock
Kisses love notes
pretty in pink ink
pretty in pink satin ribbon
1-3/8" circle punch
Ribbon of Hope stamp
Whimsical Words stamp set (FREE during Sale-A-Bration)
small dots background texture plate for Big Shot
adhesive, pop up glue dots, sponge

Hope you enjoyed the samples.  I hope you can create something for someone who is in need in your life.  It sure brightens their day!

My Digital Studio Certified!

Hi!  I got my digital image from Stampin' Up! today that states that I am MyDigitalStudio Certified!  Woohoo!  What does that mean?  Well, I listened to and learned from SU about the new digital studio.  It really is an awesome program.  I hope they make a dvd or something similar for purchase or to go along with the program.  It helped me learn a lot that I wouldn't have known otherwise.

So to celebrate this occasion, I'm going to offer a special to anyone who orders MyDigitalStudio from now til Christmas.  You will get 10% off when you purchase the program thru me!  Well, to be honest, you can earn it at 50% off til the end of November by having a party of $400 or more.  If you are interested in either or would like a short lesson on the program before you purchase it, please contact me.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!!!

My Digital Studio

Hi everyone!

I sit here on the computer while my daughter is having her birthday slumber party. Haley has her friends - Erin, Jenna, Jordan & Ashley - over for the night. So of course, Tyler has his friend Turner over as well. We went swimming at our local indoor water park earlier today; which was actually a Girl Scout trip. Anyhow, the kids are all down in the basement playing.

So I finally finished all the videos and quizzes to get certified for Stampin' Up!'s new My Digital Studio. It is a digital paper crafting software that is SUPER EASY to use. We also have a professional printer that will print all of the albums, calendars, cards, pages - anything that you can create. It is wonderful! One of the best things is that you can print the project and then add some real embellishments once you get the print home. Hybrid projects. COOL!

This card is my first project that I completed for the certification. I've also started an album. It is so fun to play around. And the best part - you can use it as a design pattern and create the real thing from what you made in the software!!!

I hope you enjoy the card. And have a great weekend.

Keep craftin'

Audra :)
