My Digital Studio Certified!

Hi!  I got my digital image from Stampin' Up! today that states that I am MyDigitalStudio Certified!  Woohoo!  What does that mean?  Well, I listened to and learned from SU about the new digital studio.  It really is an awesome program.  I hope they make a dvd or something similar for purchase or to go along with the program.  It helped me learn a lot that I wouldn't have known otherwise.

So to celebrate this occasion, I'm going to offer a special to anyone who orders MyDigitalStudio from now til Christmas.  You will get 10% off when you purchase the program thru me!  Well, to be honest, you can earn it at 50% off til the end of November by having a party of $400 or more.  If you are interested in either or would like a short lesson on the program before you purchase it, please contact me.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!!!

My Digital Studio

Hi everyone!

I sit here on the computer while my daughter is having her birthday slumber party. Haley has her friends - Erin, Jenna, Jordan & Ashley - over for the night. So of course, Tyler has his friend Turner over as well. We went swimming at our local indoor water park earlier today; which was actually a Girl Scout trip. Anyhow, the kids are all down in the basement playing.

So I finally finished all the videos and quizzes to get certified for Stampin' Up!'s new My Digital Studio. It is a digital paper crafting software that is SUPER EASY to use. We also have a professional printer that will print all of the albums, calendars, cards, pages - anything that you can create. It is wonderful! One of the best things is that you can print the project and then add some real embellishments once you get the print home. Hybrid projects. COOL!

This card is my first project that I completed for the certification. I've also started an album. It is so fun to play around. And the best part - you can use it as a design pattern and create the real thing from what you made in the software!!!

I hope you enjoy the card. And have a great weekend.

Keep craftin'

A new post.... really!

HI! What was that about keeping this more up to date?? Hahaha sorry for that. I keep thinking I need to take a lot of time to sit down and write, but I don't. It can be a two sentence post, I guess. So you might see me more often on here.

Life is busy and I'm enjoying every minute I can. It sure is packed full. I wanted to share a bunch of stuff, but I'm going to start with a Halloween card. I made it last year, actually. It is cool to shadow in the yellow in the house to make it eerily lit up! I hope you like it.

Happy Halloween!

Onward into 2009...

So here we are, almost the end of January 2009. This month has been quite eventful: the historic inauguration of Barack Obama, record snowfall and what seems like record cold, the worst economy in my lifetime, my paternal grandfather passed away and my daughter has been increasingly complaining of "tummy aches". Yet I still feel I have much to be thankful for: my family is healthy and happy, we still have a home to call our own, we still have an income, Tyler is active in 6th grade basketball, Haley is in the next grade level in spelling, and I have wonderful friends... see lots to be grateful for!
So with Haley's tummy troubles I've taken her to the doctor several times over the last couple months and we're seeing a specialist on Friday. But there's nothing much we can do besides try the medications that we've been given. So I've been a little hard on her. So I made her this card. It was actually a color challenge from another website www.kwernerdesign.com/blog/ - the colors were basic black, whisper white, real red, green galore and so saffron. I thought these colors were wonderful together! The green is bright, but understated as the stems. Haley loved the card and didn't complain at school at all today! What a wonderful day!!! We'll see how tomorrow goes.
Anyhoo, I would love to plan an event in February. It will probably have to be a Friday night or Sunday because Tyler has a b-ball tournament every weekend! I got my complimentary new catalog over the weekend and it has some wonderful new stuff. I can't wait to place an order and try it out! My catty's should be here before the end of the week, so let me know if you want one. Stampin' Up! is also offering some great specials this year because of their 20th anniversary. We've had some great ones already and I'm looking forward to more! Take a look at my website to see what's offered. Don't forget to check back often!
Until next time, keep craftin'
